Drink Rating Notes
Sin & Tonic 5 / 5 The botanicals in this drink are local to New Hwen—my internal database failed to identify three of the seven compounds present. The gin is infused with luminescent petals that give the drink an ethereal blue-green glow. The bartender explained they harvest them under a full moon. I do not fully understand why that matters, but the results are undeniable. A perfect score.
Absolution 5 / 5 I interviewed seventeen patrons. Not one could articulate a single criticism. The drink is a clear spirit infused with honey and something the proprietor called “forgiven tears”—which I am told is metaphorical. The flavor is warm, forgiving, and impossibly smooth. I attempted to identify a flaw through chemical analysis and found none. This is the platonic ideal of a cocktail.
The Scarlet Confession 4 / 5 A crimson drink served in a small chalice. B33 consumed one and spent the next forty minutes describing her childhood in unsettling detail before weeping softly into her hands. The bartender assured me this was “within expected parameters.” The drink itself is spiced and complex, with notes of pomegranate and clove. Effective, but I declined a second.
